Llandudno
Everyone loves Llandudno. Who could argue while strolling along its elegant promenade, past pastel-coloured hotels and authentic seafront architecture? It feels as if time has stood still, with a pier (the longest in Wales), Punch and Judy shows, donkey rides, and charming canopied shopping streets. Llandudno is a classic resort, largely unchanged for over a century.
The town is framed by the Great Orme and Little Orme headlands, with a second beach, the West Shore, behind the former. Alice Liddell, who inspired *Alice in Wonderland*, holidayed here, and you can follow the Alice Trail around town.
Llandudno offers plenty to do. Take a tram or cable car to the summit of the Great Orme, explore prehistoric copper mines, or visit the Llandudno Museum and Home Front Experience. Chocolate lovers can enjoy the Chocolate Experience, a journey through the history of chocolate.
